Angela Gomez Duran was born in Santander (Cantabria), Spain. While attending high school, she discovered her interest in various forms of art. Soon thereafter, she began her university studies where she combined various courses in drawing and painting, ultimately mastering various techniques. From childhood, her passion for art led her to participate in various competitions at the national level, both in the field of painting and sculpture, eventually winning awards and special honors. In 2005, she moved to Madrid to work as a model and actress. Her art can be described as a combination between classical realism and pop surrealism. It is a fusion of personal experiences and a diverse range of influences, among fashion, gastronomy and Pin-up style.

Although this exhibition has primarily utilized newspapers and magazines from the 1800’s to complement her work, Angela has also worked on canvas and wood, without limiting herself to a single technique. She proficiently manages oil, acrylic and ink, but her favorite use is the charcoal technique. She is a self-taught painter and one could say that drawing the subject matter of human hands is one of her main expressive modes.
