Ivonne Martínez – Economist and Master’s degree holder in Public Policy, with more than 18 years of experience in the design, implementation, and evaluation of public policies. She currently serves as Deputy Director of Intelligence and Information Technology Management at the Bogotá District Institute of Tourism, where she promotes strategic sector analysis, data management, and the development of tourism in the city.
She leads the Tourism Observatory and coordinates the implementation of the Bogotá Smart Tourism Destination strategy, advancing key components such as sustainability, innovation, governance, technology, and accessibility. Her professional trajectory includes key contributions to organizations such as the World Bank, USAID, the Ministry of Finance, and the National Planning Department, among others, where she has led strategic processes in territorial development, international cooperation, and participatory planning.
Gustavo Villota, Co-Founder and Director of Cafe San Alberto

Gustavo Villota is from Bogotá and, together with his brother Juan Pablo, represents the third generation of a family that for more than 50 years has worked to bring the world the finest products from a land blessed in Colombia’s Quindío region. Both studied Business Administration at CESA, and after graduating each pursued different professional paths, unaware that they would later reunite to continue the family business—this time focused on celebrating the sensory experience and exceptional flavor of coffee.
Gustavo’s career has been oriented toward business, innovation, and marketing. He completed part of his academic training at the Lyon Business School in France and holds a Master’s degree in Business from the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management in Canada. He has built a strong professional trajectory within major multinational consumer goods companies, including L’Oréal, Johnson & Johnson, and Belcorp, where he focused on building iconic brands and developing innovative consumer propositions.
He has a particular passion for luxury brands and new product development, and he is deeply committed to achieving distinctive positioning for his beloved coffee.
In 2026, Gustavo was recognized by Forbes magazine as one of the 137 Leaders Updating Colombia, highlighting his contributions to innovation and business development in the country.
Armando Bolaño, Founder and director of the Cayeye Films Foundation

Founder and director of the Cayeye Films Foundation, an organization created in 2008 in Colombia with the objective of developing, producing, and distributing audiovisual projects in Latin America and the Caribbean with a gender, environmental, and territorial perspective.
He has been a beneficiary of training and support programs from IBERMEDIA, INCAA (Argentina), Latin Union (France), the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA), the SGAE Foundation (Spain), and is a member of EGEDA Colombia.
He has produced and directed audiovisual and cultural cooperation projects in co-production with Brazil, Spain, Colombia, Argentina, Belgium, and the United States.
He was selected by the Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale) to participate in the Visitors Co-Production Market Program.
He has served as a jury member for the Audiovisual Calls of the Ministry of Information Technologies and Communications (MINTIC), the TAL International Television Awards of Latin America, and as a voting member of the India Catalina Awards of the Cartagena International Film Festival. He has also participated as a juror in the Arts and Culture Promotion Grants of the Medellín Mayor’s Office, the Stories of Peace Writing Competition of the Ministry of Education, among others.
He currently directs the Creative Production and Distribution Laboratory for Audiovisual Projects of Young Women Filmmakers/Producers from the Caribbean and Latin America – CARIBESUR LAB, organized by the Cayeye Center of the Cayeye Films Foundation and supported by the Ministry of Cultures, Arts and Knowledge and EGEDA Colombia. He is also the director of the JUGLARA Traveling Festival, a territorial program focused on audiovisual circulation and audience development in regions affected by the internal armed conflict.
He holds graduate studies in Cultural Management from the University of Buenos Aires and is pursuing a Doctorate in Arts at UNTREF (Argentina).
Maria Fernanda Prieto, Senior Communications Consultant, Babel Communications

María Fernanda Prieto is a Social Communication graduate from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and holds a Master’s degree in Corporate Communication from IE.
Her professional experience has focused on communications leadership, public relations management, high-level government affairs, Customer Experience, and the design of high-impact stakeholder engagement strategies. As Head of Communications at Colombia’s Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, she led the interinstitutional coordination of the national tourism campaign “Colombia, the Country of Beauty” and supported the international promotion of Colombia as a tourism destination.
She currently serves as Senior Communications Consultant at Babel Comunicaciones, where she acts as Account Director for companies in the aviation and insurance sectors.
Liliana Baez, Founder, Genoma del Ser

Liliana Báez is a systemic therapist and founder of Genoma del Ser.
She guides personal and organizational transformation processes through an integrative approach that combines structure, awareness, and purpose. Her work incorporates tools such as Family and Organizational Constellations, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), and therapeutic integration processes in expanded states of consciousness. Through these methodologies, she facilitates reconnection with the wholeness of the self, bringing the unconscious into awareness to restore internal and relational coherence.
Liliana also supports companies in systemic alignment processes focused on leadership, organizational culture, growth, professional development, career stagnation, staff turnover, and internal dynamics that impact sales and workplace relationships.
In addition, she advises individuals on U.S. B1/B2 and F1 visa processes, integrating not only technical preparation but also a strategic, structured, and systemic approach that strengthens each applicant’s clarity and confidence through personalized guidance.

Marcela Moyano, Board Member, United International College

Dr. Marcela Moyano, is a communications scholar, documentary filmmaker, professor, and higher education leader whose career spans more than two decades in media, education, storytelling, and community engagement. She earned her Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from St. Thomas University, where her dissertation, Documentaries for Social Change: An Examination of Blooming Hope led to the development of two influential frameworks—the Participatory Action-Based Documentary (PAD) Model and the Participatory Action-Based Learning (PAL) Model—both designed to harness documentary film as a tool for social transformation.
Dr. Moyano’s academic background includes a Master’s degree in Communication Arts with a specialization in Public Relations from Barry University, a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Arts from St. Thomas University, and earlier studies in Mass Communication at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, Colombia. She has taught a wide range of undergraduate and graduate courses, covering media theory, television production, ethics, public speaking, documentaries, global media, business communication, and more. Her publications—including articles on social justice, participatory documentary methods, and digital activism—reflect her commitment to exploring how media can empower communities and drive social change.
An accomplished presenter and researcher, Dr. Moyano has delivered papers and workshops at national and international conferences, addressing themes such as digital storytelling, child slavery in Haiti, social media and social justice, and the transformational power of film. Her creative work includes several documentaries, notably Blooming Hope: Harvesting Smiles in Port-de-Paix, an award-winning film recognized at the Miami International Film Festival. She has also served as executive producer for films such as United in Diversity (2024) and Stillness (2014).
Dr. Moyano has held significant leadership roles in higher education, including Director of the Institute for Communication, Entertainment, and Media at St. Thomas University and Program Coordinator for Communication Arts. Since 2015, she has served as Communications and Advancement Director and Professor at United International College, where she oversees the college’s marketing and communications strategy, develops recruiting campaigns, builds partnerships, facilitates media coverage, and teaches communications courses. Her work combines strategic communication, media production, and educational leadership to support institutional growth and student success.
Active in community and professional service, Dr. Moyano serves on the Board of Directors of United International College and the Board of Trustees of Fundación Unilatina in Colombia. She is also the long-standing Chair of the WLRN/PBS Community Advisory Board, contributing to public media initiatives and community outreach. Her work has earned her recognition such as “15 Noteworthy Art Professors in Miami” and the Leader Award from the St. Louidionor Association of Haiti.
A multilingual educator fluent in English and Spanish, with knowledge of Italian and Creole, Dr. Moyano continues to advance her mission to use media, storytelling, and education as catalysts for justice, cultural understanding, and social empowerment.
Julio Andrés Rozo, Co-Founder, Amazonia Emprende

Julio Andrés Rozo is the co-founder of Amazonía Emprende, an organization established in 2019 that provides innovative solutions to help companies achieve their decarbonization goals and generate measurable biodiversity gains through the restoration of the Amazon rainforest. Through strategic partnerships and science-based models, Amazonía Emprende works with leading global and regional institutions including the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), Nestlé, Microsoft, Bancolombia, Banco Popular, and the World Economic Forum.
Julio is a recognized thought leader in ecosystem restoration and sustainable development. He serves as a columnist for the World Economic Forum, Forbes, and El Espectador, where he writes about environmental restoration, climate action, and regenerative business models. He is also the host of the podcast Restaurando Tu Finca, which focuses on sustainable land management and rural transformation.
His work has earned international recognition. He was named a LinkedIn Top Voice in 2022 and recognized as a Top Innovator by the World Economic Forum in 2021. In 2020, he was awarded the Environmental Merit Cross by the German Government for his contributions to environmental sustainability. In 2023, he was a finalist for the Caracol TV Environmental Award.
In 2018, Julio completed a 400-kilometer journey across the Amazon rainforest to identify and promote alternatives to combat deforestation, a milestone that further solidified his commitment to environmental advocacy and action.
He holds a Master’s degree in Environment and Development, as well as dual undergraduate degrees in Business Administration and Finance.
Monica Miranda, Co-Founder, Universal Flower Service Business Group

Mónica Monica is a Colombian entrepreneur, business leader, and creative professional whose career bridges Latin America and East Asia. Born in Ibagué, Tolima, and raised in a middle-class family in Bogotá, she experienced a happy and stable childhood before migrating with her family to the United States—an experience that marked a turning point in her personal, academic, and professional life.
Upon returning to Colombia, Monica began working in the floriculture sector, where she gained valuable industry experience and developed a deep understanding of international markets. After several years in the field, life led her to Japan, where she recognized an opportunity to serve as a bridge between Colombia and East Asia. This vision gave rise to Universal Flower Service a decade ago. Under her co-leadership, the company has grown to become the second-largest exporter of Japanese flowers in the world.
Today, Monica is co-founder and a member of the board of directors of the Universal Flower Service business group. The company specializes in producing and exporting Japanese flowers from Japan and Colombia to global markets. In addition to its core business, the group is actively exploring innovative ventures, including the commercialization of Asian products and audiovisual production powered by artificial intelligence.
Monica’s academic background reflects her multidisciplinary interests and creative drive. She holds a degree in Social Communication with an emphasis in Audiovisual Production from Universidad Javeriana. She also completed a diploma in Small Business Management and English as a Second Language at Unilatina. Further expanding her academic profile, she earned a master’s degree in Hispanic Literature and Spanish Language from the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona, and more recently completed a master’s degree in screenwriting for film and television.
Combining entrepreneurial vision with artistic and literary training, Monica represents a unique blend of business acumen and creative innovation, positioning her as a dynamic leader operating at the intersection of culture, commerce, and global connection.
Angelica Moyano, Board Member, United International College

Angelica Moyano was born in Bogotá, Colombia, where she lived for 20 years. In 1999, she moved with her family to South Florida, USA. Moyano earned a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from Saint Thomas University and a Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from Barry University.
Moyano has worked at United International College (UIC) in Miramar, FL, since 2002 and has served as the Director of Academic Affairs since 2004. Her talented leadership has been instrumental in the development and growth of UIC. In 2013 and 2016, she led UIC’s accreditation process with ACICS (Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools), successfully securing accreditation for the institution. In 2024, she led the institution’s most recent accreditation process with DEAC and is currently awaiting approval. Her deep-rooted passion for education keeps UIC in constant development and advancement. Moyano maintains excellent relationships with faculty and leads with dedication and pride. She continuously works to enhance academic processes and promote a progressive educational model that responds to the needs of the 21st century.
Moyano is married to David Lesser and has three children: Daniela, Camila, and Sergio Lesser Moyano. She currently resides in Miramar, Florida.
