GABRIELA FAJARDO
Painting & Drawing
I am an artist with very strong roots of Santa Barbará, where my mother was born and from whom I feel extremely proud. I am grateful to God for placing in my hands the blessing of painting and seeing the world full of color from a different perspective. Since very young, I felt a strong inclination to draw and scratch everything that was within my reach. It is so that as a teenager my exploration of space and image was very strong, finding in my subconscious the need to make art. I started my painting career in a basic painting course at the Fine Arts School.
My themes varied from portraits, painting, landscaping, drawing of the human figure, to decorative art on different surfaces. The experimentation of the different techniques such as oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, charcoal, graphite are the ones that I have developed in a more evident way. The support of everyone has undoubtedly been a great incentive in my life, but trust in God has been my greatest strength. People who have opened spaces so I can show what I do and manage to talk a little about the ways I achieve with graphite when drawing human anatomy, for example. In my life I am a person with a great motivation, with an entrepreneurial spirit, I am currently the Director of GRUPO ARTISTICO CICUMBA created in 2012.
