Luis was born in Pinar Del Rio, Cuba, at the age of 18 aboard a sail boat, named El Dorado. He fled his country arriving in the United States in 1967 as a political exile.

A dynamic and charismatic bilingual speaker, Luis is able to have a lasting impact on his audiences. People leave his presentations with fresh ideas for improving themselves and their organizations. He has been motivating audiences for over 40 years on sales, customer service and relationship strategies. Careers in speaking and sales have brought him many honors. He was recognized with the diploma Honoris Causa in Small Business Administration by United International College.

Luis has conducted over 500 sales seminars and he has presented motivational topics to a broad range of audiences from corporate executives to children.

His most popular program “The Five Points of The Sale” is a key factor in the success of the sales associates and the customer care personnel at El Dorado Furniture. In this program, Luis is able to present specific and effective sales and service techniques that are focused on building customer loyalty. His goal as a speaker is to awaken and enrich the potential of his audience in achieving exceptional levels of performance.

Luis serves as President and CEO of El Dorado Furniture, America’s number one Hispanic furniture retailer, leading 18 stores throughout Florida. In addition, he is an active faculty member of the El Dorado University and El Dorado Institute.
