Ft. Lauderdale, FL – Rob Wild, owner of Masa & More in Fort Lauderdale, opened both his heart and doors to share his journey as an entrepreneur with students in Professor Jack J. Rose’s Entrepreneurship and Venture Creation class at United International College in Dania Beach.

Mr. Wild’s background was both inspiring and intriguing. After participating in the college’s graduation lunch celebration, Rob emphasized the importance of “taking advantage of every opportunity that comes your way.” He explained how Masa & More was once a struggling business—until he embraced the challenge and transformed it into one of Fort Lauderdale’s most popular waterfront dining venues.

Prior to owning Masa & More, Rob operated a commercial lending brokerage that specialized in funding small to medium-sized businesses in need of working capital to launch, manage, or grow their operations. With his innovative approach to business development, Rob successfully funded over $1 billion in working capital.

In addition to his restaurant and lending brokerage, Rob founded a Business Coaching, Consulting, and Employee Development Training firm shortly after earning his MBA. His firm now serves a wide range of clients—from small startups to Fortune 500 companies.

Beyond his business ventures, Rob is also developing a mental health program aimed at helping individuals overcome emotional challenges stemming from childhood trauma.

After hearing about Rob’s inspiring background, Professor Rose approached him and expressed a desire to seize an opportunity—the opportunity to bring a lifelong entrepreneur into his classroom. Rob, who chuckled and admitted he began his entrepreneurial journey selling donuts to classmates in school, eagerly agreed.

During his visit, Rob shared his entrepreneurial philosophies and what drives his motivation for success. The students impressed him with thoughtful questions and their evident passion for launching their own ventures. As a follow-up, Rob invited the class to Masa & More for a private tour and tasting experience. Professor Rose, along with United International College President Lydia Bautista and Director of Communications Dr. Marcela Moyano, accompanied the students for this special visit.

And the food? WOW. Each dish was more impressive than the last. The students unanimously rated the cuisine a perfect 10/10—for taste, presentation, and the outstanding service provided by Rob’s dedicated team.

While presenting Rob Wild with a Certificate of Appreciation, Professor Rose remarked,

“I met Rob almost two months ago and was immediately impressed by his knowledge, personality, entrepreneurial spirit, and business acumen. I’ve always told my students that building relationships with all stakeholders is vital. I couldn’t miss the opportunity to introduce them to Rob—and in doing so, I practiced what I preached. Rob accepted my invitation without hesitation, and a strong business relationship was born.”

Rob Wild’s visit was a valuable experience for United International College students—a vivid example of how entrepreneurial success, generosity, and education can intersect to inspire the next generation of leaders.
