Hurricane Dorian Advisory 2

United International College continues to closely monitor Hurricane Dorian. According to the National Hurricane Center report issued at 11:00 a.m. on September 1st, “hurricane storm warnings are in effect for portions of the Florida East coast through mid-week.”

Broward County Schools recently announced that schools will be closed on Tuesday. Therefore, United International College will also be closed. There will not be classes on Tuesday.

We will continue to monitor Hurricane Dorian. Please continue being informed.

Hurricane Dorian Advisory 1

United International College is closely monitoring Hurricane Dorian. According to the National Hurricane Center report issued at 11:00 a.m. on August 30th, Hurricane Dorian is expected to hit the Florida Peninsula with “devastating hurricane force winds,” which should urge our UIC student population and community to be prepared. As of today, Friday, August 30, UIC cancels any activities scheduled for Friday. The campus will be closed during Labor Day weekend. There are no classes scheduled on Monday. Please prepare for the hurricane during the weekend as the hurricane may be expected to hit the peninsula on Monday evening or Tuesday morning.

United International College will follow the emergency procedures of Broward County Schools to determine if we need to close our campus any day during next week.
