Juan Pablo Giraldo is a Colombian citizen born in the country’s capital, Bogota. Juan Pablo studied in a Catholic School where He developed his likes for sports and joined since very young the school Basketball team acquiring His first recognition as a valuable team player and achieved a National Championship title by the age of 14. At 16 He graduated from High School and joined the constitutional mandate of military service (selective service) for a 1 year period, in this place, Juan Pablo got his first leadership recognition in an Institution by being upgraded to Dragoneante to lead the his team members in the administrative area of Recruitment offices.
Later on, Juan Pablo Studied Industrial Engineering in Los Andes University and added to his studies a concentration on Entrepreneurship. During his times of student, with the support of his father, Mother and partners, at his 21 He started up a company dedicated to distribute consumer products in Bogota, and worked as a VP in a family/friends owned water bottled company.
Juan Pablo also worked in the commercial area for Multinational companies like BIMBO and Unilever, and also joined several academic activities in the University as Lead Support (Monitor) for classes such as Marketing, Intro to Industrial Engineering and Development of Projects. He also participated in a dynamic Multidisciplinary group in the University that inspired the entrepreneurial spirit in students, organization known as EMPREANDES. As his graduation project, He presented his Thesis in an Organizational Model for preparing organizations to embrace Sustainable Innovation as a competitive advantage.
After his Undergrad graduation in 2005, He decided to move to the US with his fiancée and started working for an International Telecommunications company that allow him to interact and expand his International Commercial Skills, period of time where He also studied an MBA in Entrepreneurship in Nova SouthEastern University (NSU) and earned the Degree in 2008. With his MBA credentials, Juan Pablo was Hired by a company to work for almost 4 years as a Commercial Manager and leading a group of people in 4 locations in the USA and Colombia, offering Living Solutions for migrants in the US and Canada by opening the opportunity to invest in their cities and country of Origin. This experience along with His next challenge as International Commercial Manager for 4 years in Avianca Express (logistic Industry), allow Juan Pablo to get a broad and wider vision of International markets and the development of Business in US, LATAM and EUROPE.
Juan Pablo has shown his passion for education since His first experiences as students and has combined his professional education and working activities with many academic experiences, and capitalizes this opportunity by offering consulting services in Organizational and Commercial areas for Small and Medium Size companies in FL.
While in the US, Juan Pablo has accumulated 5+ Years as Educator/Facilitator in South Florida Based Academic Institutions sharing his skills and experiences with students in both Management and International Business programs and has been with United during the last 2 Years.
